To know how palle palle ku aata came to existence, we need to hear a story of a hard working girl, a determined brother and of course our very own much respected to Sri. Ramesh Nagapuri Sir.
The girl comes from a very poor background, a very very remote village (name of her village) near Bhadrachalam. The village is so remote, you don't have proper electricity and road transport or even a proper road. She was training under a government program, unfortunately the program was withdrawn midway and she was left with no hope to continue her passion towards the sport and she went back to her home. The determined brother steps in here does his research packs her bags and comes to hyd to see Ramesh Sir. Ramesh Sir could instantly identify the zeal, passion and determined attitude of both the brother and sister
Sir got her under his wings and nurtured her. Sir also helped her find a sponsor to meet her financial needs to stay in Hyd and continue her training. That girl is Rajitha Kunj she is an international athlete now.
And there is no stopping her, she trains now at state of art environment at Pullela Gopichand Academy more determined and hardworking, meanwhile inspiring many passionate athletes/sportspersons to script their own success stories.
Ramesh Sir, the brain child of this program wanted to provide an opportunity to people who are talented, passionate but cannot afford it, may be due to remoteness of their place or no proper environment or could be financial distress or no proper guidance. Not everyone can come to Hyd, where Ramesh Sir trains students. But we can create an environment where an experienced athlete can guide the budding athlete under the direct guidance of Ramesh Sir himself.
Thus on Oct 2021 a center in Bhupalpally was born with the help of a sponsor who would provide financial assistance to the coach at that particular center and the coach's job was to find and nurture fellow students of the society.
Thus far that one center grew to 12 centers now, with more sponsors supporting the centers. What you witness now is 170 plus passionate participants from these very 12 centers and their respective coaches.
The sponsors not just provide financial assistance, the progress of the program is observed and discussed very often under Ramesh Sir's and Pullela Gopichand Sir's able guidance. Sponsors do visit the centers periodically to have an in-person experience of how things are run. The coaches are in regular communication with one another in providing and taking inputs. The coaches are also trained on know-hows. The goal of the program is to make the younger generation disciplined and active.
And who knows how many Rajithas we could find in the proces.
